ABOUT

Inspired by the mythological figure of the Siren—the beautiful female who lures sailors to their death—we developed A Collective Washing, a participatory performance staged in the river alongside the Klein und Haarig Festival.

Participants were invited to wash themselves using fragments of hand-crafted soap sculptures and were promised eternal beauty in return. A hybrid between ritual and fiction, the performance explored contemporary ideals of beauty while transforming the simple act of washing into a shared ceremonial experience.
